The little maid that saved the day.
A nameless captive that served
Naaman's wife, became the hero in this story. So don't fret if you feel like your a nobody. You are in the right place for a miracle.
2 Kings 5:1-3
Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2. And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
3. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
The story of Naaman actually has a few nobodies hanging out in the background. First the little maid from Israel told her mistress about the prophet in Samaria. Naaman goes to where Elisha is to recieve healing for his body. Another nobody is introduced when Elisha sent a messenger to tell Naaman to go dip seven times in the jordan and he will be made clean. Naaman was wroth because Elisha didn't come out himself and wave his hand over the place that needed healed. Then he began to complain about the river jordan. Why couldn't he go wash in the better waters. The servants ( nobodies) spoke to their Master if the prophet had told you to do some great thing you would have done it. This simple instruction is easy peasy. One, two, and three nameless servants all was the voice for their masters. Remeber it all started with a little maid that God chose not to name in the bible, saved the day.
We know that in the grand scheme of things we are nobodies.
In the eyes of God we are wonderfully and fearfully made.
If no one knows your name. If what you do seems unseen. Just know that God sees. And he loves using nobodies to tell everybody about somebody. ( His name is Jesus)
What you do in secret will show in public. So keep on sowing, keep on praying, keep on fasting, keep on believing, keep hoping.
God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.
There are many nameless people that God used in the bible. He will use us if we stay humble and available.
God will reveal you in due season. Keep speaking those words in due season to them that are weary. Keep being a light in the darkness. You may be the only voice that some people will hear.
Come on Nobody and let's save the day!
God bless!
