Day 29
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Peace is something we all long for more than ever. Jesus spoke it, we can believe it. Trouble, tribulation, and chaos are knocking on our doors daily. Without knowing the promises of God we could easily be afraid. Even as I write this devotional we are days away from the 2024 presidential election. Fear is driving people to panic buy. Fear is pushing many of God’s children around. This should not be an issue in the Church. Yes, we will face unpleasant circumstances. We could possibly see war in our country. I want to encourage you today to put His Word in your heart. Take it to heart. Be of good cheer He has overcome the world. He will give us perfect peace. Remember to have perfect peace we must keep our minds upon Him. He is the living Word. He is our hope in a hopeless world. He is the promise that we can hold on to. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. The more you know His Word the less afraid you will be when trouble comes.
Prayer
Heaven Fatherly I look to You to keep me in these uncertain times. I know that you have promised me peace. I can look to You for the courage to stand in the face of the tribulation. Tribulation will come. Weapons will form against me. I have great consultation in Your Word that I will stand. I will not let fear drive me. Your Word says fear has torment. I will be of good cheer, You have overcome the world. God You see all the things that are going on. People are fighting one another. They are killing one another. Fear is trying to keep your people tied down. Help me to help others through these devotionals to see a mighty God that keeps His promises. You gave me the road map to make it to heaven, it’s called the Holy Bible. Amen.
