2nd Time Around
Deuteronomy 33:6
Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
I need second chances don't you?
The Bible is full of second chances. Let's go back to Genesis the 49th chapter. Jacob is fixing to step off the scene. He is telling his sons what will befall them, their future. I want to share the scriptures where Jacob is talking to Ruben.
Genesis 49:3-4
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
Thou shall not excel. That wasn't the greatest words to hear from your dying Father.
I have had those words spoken over me. I have had people to look down on me because of past failures. I know without a doubt these same words have echoed down through the years about me.
When I found the scripture about let Ruben live, I had to praise God. Moses is reiterating the blessings of the tribes of Israel.
I prophecy into my life! Will you prophecy into your life?
Let Sheila live! Let her life not be for nought. Let her rise from the ashes. Let her touch nations and let not her exploits be few.
There are many other stories in the Bible where the tables were turned. That the second time around was a great and mighty victory!

Joseph becomes Ruler over his brothers in Genesis.
What other stories come to your mind when you think about the second time around.
