2 Kings 8: 5-6
5. And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
6. And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
Talk about being at the right place at the right time. God is in the details of our everyday life. This story in 2nd Kings chapter 8 is a beautiful example how God can set you up for divine appointments. The Shunammite woman had already sowed into this moment. Her name was being mentioned in the ears of the King. Nobody else could have orchestrated this kind of meeting except God.
You may be one in million on this planet we call earth. Can I tell you though you are God's one in million. He knows how to locate you. The bible says he perfects the things that concern us.
In verse one Elisha tells her to arise and leave her homeland because a famine was coming upon the land for 7 years. After the 7 years had passed she returned. And as she was coming to cry to the King for her house and land back Gehazi was telling the King about all the things that Elisha had done. As he was telling him about the miracle of the child being brought back to live as the child's mother comes in. And the rest is history. The room she made for the man of God, the care that she provided for him and his servant was paying off. She didn't know that she protecting her future. All she knew was he was aman of a God and she wanted to show kindness to him. What a harvest!!!
Ruth was also located by God at the right time, at the right place. The kindness and love that she bestowed upon Naomi, her mother-in-law was told in the ears of her soon to be redeemer. I love how the bible says Ruth happened to be gleaning in the field of Boaz. Another divine appointment orchestrated by God.
I want to encourage you today and challenge you, keep sowing, keep showing up, keep doing what is right. Your divine appointment can happen anywhere, anytime.
When God locates you, the tables will turn. The doors will open that need to open. The right opportunity will present itself. The most important thing is stay alert. Listen to God's promptings. You never know if that one text, that one phone call, that one visit will be the time that God has set up to bring you to your expected end. ( Jer. 29:11) KJV
Thanks for reading. Stay encouraged. BEE BLESSED!
