Encouraging and Inspiring Words
Bee Ministries exists to encourage every believer. Sheila Textor's devotional readings, sermons, heartfelt stories, and inspirational words are contained here to help you deepen your faith journey.

Sheila is an author and minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sheila and her husband are former pastors of New Beginnings House of Prayer in Blytheville, Arkansas. After more than 30 years of experience in the ministry, Sheila founded Bee Ministries to inspire and uplift other believers to walk out their God-given destiny. She writes devotionals centered around the metaphor of the bumblebee, which encourages everyone to be what God has called them to be. Her goal is to have a 12-devotional series. Sheila is known for her sphere of influence through spreading the good news of biblical truths on social media, the church, and everyday life. She always looks to encourage God’s people to live their best life.

A Word From Sheila:
For many years, reading a book felt like a drag to me. I didn’t have much money growing up. Married at 16 to an abuser. My mother passed from this life when I was 12. Life showed me my fair share of trials. But one day, God highlighted a book to me. I had struggled out of my abusive marriage and taken steps to free myself from the shame of adultery, but my attitude of negativity kept me down. My new husband and I had big plans and dreams, but I continued to make life hard on myself by using words that didn’t speak life. Then I picked up a book while helping my mother-in-law clean out her house. The words on the page called out my faults and convinced me to change my outlook on life. From there, I couldn’t get enough of reading. I consumed book after book and my life took a turn.
Reading enhanced my preaching, my attitude, my prayers, my whole life. I started seeing the Bible like I’d never seen it before. I started praying like I’d never prayed before. I was asked to visit other towns to preach. God grabbed me through a book and changed everything. That’s why I created Bee Ministries, an outlet for the words God pours into my spirit.
But why bees?
About two years into my newfound love of reading, I stumbled upon a story of a woman who had a passion to do something significant with her life. Unfortunately, she didn’t have many means or support. She was seen by others as the underdog. One day, one of her friends gave her a bumblebee pendant to wear. This friend told her to wear it daily and always remember that, just like the bumblebee, she could fly even if the odds were against her. Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn’t know it, so it flies anyway.
I know that I am considered an underdog. But through this bee analogy, I am daily doing my best to live life on purpose. God often uses underdogs to bring about incredible change.
My series of Bee Devotionals was birthed out of a deep desire to have a ministry that would encourage, inspire, and pour into others who want to make a difference. Don’t let what others say about you or even your own thinking limit a limitless God. The bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly because of the structure of its body, but he flies anyway. So can you.
Over the next few years, I’m hoping to develop a total of 12 “How to Be…” devotionals to inspire and encourage Christians who want more out of life. My YouTube channel for Bee Ministries offers devotional readings, sermons, heartfelt stories, and inspirational words. My first book, Life After the Mistake, is a creative nonfiction story about what it’s like to be caught up in the sin of adultery.

Thank you for stopping by my website, and remember, even when people tell you that you can't, fly anyway.
